About The Program

Celebrating 250th year, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), is one of the oldest technical universities of the World and the first technical university of Turkey. ITU is identified as pioneer in education of engineering and architecture as it ranks 326th among World Universities according to the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2025 results.
ITU Faculty of Architecture, ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering and ITU Faculty of Management collaboratively leads the first and only Façade Design and Technology Non-Thesis Master Program in Turkey for Turkish citizens.
Currently, ITU Faculty of Architecture, ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering and ITU Faculty of Management collaboratively with the ITU Continuing Education Center (ITUSEM) presents the new certificate program for façade design and technology for non-Turkish citizens.
Purpose of the Certificate Program
The new certificate program for façade design and technology is devised to provide cutting-edge theoretical and applied knowledge and skills to professionals in architectural design, component and system design, system production and assembly, and those aspiring to work in these fields. This empowers them to become efficient and proficient contributors to the creation of energy-efficient, sustainable, and distinctly identifiable buildings worldwide.
The program is organized around the essential and advanced topics in façade design and technology, ranging from design, engineering, project management, and hazard reduction. It covers a comprehensive curriculum that includes materials science, structural analysis, thermal performance, and acoustics, enabling them to design facades that meet rigorous performance standards in the façade design and construction industry. It will also provide acquaintance with the companies in the Turkish facade sector.
Successful participants will be given a certificate of achievement approved by the ITU Continuing Education Center.
The program seats are limited to 20 for each certificate term.
The program will be offered fully in English through ITU-CEC Online Learning Platforms: Microsoft Teams + Ninova.
